Our Focus

In 2018, Onward Neighborhood House celebrates 125 years as a community resource – we have succeeded for over a century by developing programs to meet the emerging needs of our neighbors.

In the early 20th century, the West Town community needed food, clothing and shelter – and Onward House responded. Today, affordable child care, adult education, and job seeking assistance rank among the Belmont Cragin community’s greatest needs. Our newly opened Community Education & Resource Center provides adult education programming and workshops – right down the street from our Early Childhood Education facility.  Together these facilities provide opportunities to impact two generations at once and empower families and individuals to lead better lives.

Education

Support
