Onward House provides job readiness classes and one-on-one assistance for job seekers, as well as computer classes and resources for entrepreneurs.

Job Club
Onward House has partnered with Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership to provide participants an opportunity to build job readiness skills needed to increase their chances of gaining employment or finding a better paying job faster. Participants receive training in resume building, interview skills, networking, social media and conducting job searches. Participants also gain support from peers and attend free seminars on-site.

 

Computer Center


With the goal of bridging the digital divide, Onward House provides free community access to computers and information technology to Belmont Cragin residents of all ages. Learning opportunities are available to enhance technological aptitude, increase knowledge, gain language proficiency, and increase employability. The Computer Center, located in the Hank and Kim Marshall Community Resource and Education Center, serves approximately 40 community members each week and 600 each year.
