Onward House has partnered with Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership to provide participants an opportunity to build job readiness skills needed to increase their chances of gaining employment or finding a better paying job faster. Participants receive training in resume building, interview skills, networking, social media and conducting job searches. Participants also gain support from peers and attend free seminars on-site.
Onward Neighborhood now offers Career Foundations through our partnership with Women Employed. Career Foundations will prompt students to explore their values, interests and transferable skills, learn the City Colleges of Chicago pathways to education and explore the promising local sectors and job market. During this process, participants will develop a plan and timeline for reaching their educational college goals which include City Colleges of Chicago bridges and Gateway programs or advanced industry training programs.
